My apologies for not mentioning this sooner, but HBO has started a television series based on Alexander McCall Smith's No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency mysteries. The pilot was adapted and directed by the late Anthony Minghella (The English Patient) and shot on location in Botswana. We're now three episodes in with new episodes every Sunday night.If you've missed the first three episodes they're to be rerun this Friday (April 17) starting at 6 p.m.
If, on the other hand, you caught the show but haven't yet read the books you can come by the library and pick them up.
