No Country for Old Men. 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture of 2007, No Country for Old Men is based on a novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy. The movie is directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, is about 2 hours long, and is rated R for "strong graphic violence and some language."
The Kite Runner. 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Based on the best-selling novel by Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner is a drama about life in contemporary Afghanistan. The movie is about 2 hours long and is rated PG-13 for "strong thematic material including the sexual assault of a child, violence and brief strong language."
We will also show a movie suitable for adult audiences at 6 p.m. (unless noted otherwise) on each of the following dates in 2008. Movie titles will be announced about three weeks before show times.Thursday, May 22, 2008
