In observance of
Banned Books Week, September 27 through October 4, 2008, Carnegie-Stout Public Library is hosting
Reading Lolita in Dubuque, a program to encourage Dubuquers to celebrate the freedom to read by checking out Vladimir Nabokov’s highly controversial and frequently
banned novel
Lolita, along with Azar Nafisi's bestselling memoir
Reading Lolita in Tehran.
